Key Responsibilities

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial variances to support strategic decision-making.
  • Accounting & Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, manage ledgers, and oversee month-end and year-end closing.
  • Customer Interaction: Serve as the point of contact for billing inquiries and disputes, ensuring accurate invoicing and strong client relationships.
  • Maritime Industry Expertise: Apply knowledge of port operations, logistics, and industry regulations to improve financial processes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in accounting operations while staying updated on industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (experience may substitute for degree).
  • Experience: 5+ years in accounting or financial management, with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Excel; familiarity with maritime logistics systems.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities; detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
