AMOS & IS Marine Manager
Responsible for AMOS software application of all Tropical ships and clients. Responsible for ships’
Information System (IS) equipment. Responsible for vessel telecommunications hardware and system
management. Responsible for database build. Responsible for IS contracts and telecommunications
contracts.
JOB SCOPE
No supervisory responsibility. Responsible for assisting with the budgetary and financial functions of the
department.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages AMOS ship management
1. Software.
2. Manages shipboard telecommunications for all vessels.
3. Manages onboard ship computers, servers and software.
4. Performs all other assigned duties.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in a maritime or related field
EXPERIENCE: Seven years experience in AMOS software, telecommunications
equipment, servers and ship navigation equipment.
LICENSE: Valid local driver’s license and valid passport
TRAVEL: 20% travel to both domestic and international Tropical locations.
PHYSICAL: Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer. Must
be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 8 hours per
day. Mobility required to oversee operations activities and to perform
inspection duties. Ability to frequently twist, bend, read, squat, kneel and
climb heights up to 15 feet, occasionally must lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
Able to withstand occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions.
Ability to travel in various modes of transportation (e.g. automobile, airplane, train etc.)
