Our client is expanding and is looking for a Dry Bulk Charterer to join the team. This position will develop and implement a trading strategy, focusing on maximizing returns for a fleet of handy size vessels. Working with senior management, the ideal candidate will develop relationships with new clients and negotiate new deals while continuing to support the current business. We are looking for someone with the following:
- University Degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 2 years bulk chartering or operations experience, handy size vessels ideal
- Solid understanding of market dynamics in the Americas
- Prior experience as a vessel operator is a plus
- Effective communicator with excellent negotiation skills
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Bilingual fluency preferred – English and Spanish
Candidates must have the right to work in the USA( i.e. USA citizens or Permanent Resident).
