Electrical Inside Sales & Procurement Manager

The position reports to the Parts & Logistics Manager (P&L Manager)

Medium to long-term goal is succession management planning where position transitions to become P&L Manager.

Overall Responsibilities:

Will be responsible for the day-to-day procurement of electrical parts for projects and sales of electrical parts to various customers. Basic logistics, parts co-ordination, inventory, inventory control, shipping and receiving functions from time to time will also be required.

Will require customer interaction in person as well as via phone.

Computer work will be required using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Business Central ERP system.

Responsible for the on time delivery and follow up of ordered parts. Will mostly be to marine related customers (commercial, industrial, shipyard facilities, yachts, cruise ships and marinas).

Electrical systems and equipment knowledge is strongly preferred.

Assist P&L Manager in managing inside sales and warehouse staff.

Clearly communicate with staff and management in setting and assigning daily tasks as necessary.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Counter Sales

Assist customers and in-house technicians with product questions, technical assistance and material research.

Answer incoming phone calls.

Generate RFQs, POs, Sales Orders and Invoices for products sold.

Shipping & Logistics

Supervise warehouse staff to ensure following tasks are correctly and consistently performed;

§ Wrap, box, pack outgoing shipments

§ Generate commercial invoicing for all international shipments

§ Generate packing slips for domestic shipments

§ Contact various logistics shipping companies to schedule pickups, shipping questions, drop offs.

§ Receive incoming shipments and notify supervisor/ employee upon arrival

§ Walk isles, organize locations for all parts

§ Inventory counts

§ Book out parts when technicians pick up for job

Knowledge and experience with international logistics and customs requirements is preferred

Warehouse Inventory

Order parts for stock and/or materials from jobs

Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with ERP system development

Assist internal service departments

Assign purchase order numbers and book out stock

Research, locate and order parts from vendors

Organize and find parts needed that are in-stock

Administrative Help

Assist with questions about customer invoicing, shipping and vendor billing

Help create Business Central inventory item numbers

Contact customers with overdue invoices

Make sure all packing slips, invoices, and any other pertinent information gets to administration.

Qualifications include:

· Positive attitude and high energy

· Ability to efficiently time manage and prioritize tasks

· Knowledge of Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics Navision preferred

· Knowledge and experience of Inventory Management

· Detail orientated

· Excellent organizational skills

· Computer literate

· Basic math skills

· Electrical / mechanical aptitude

· Electrical parts procurement experience is strongly preferred

· Team player and willing to work effectively and with a positive attitude with all employees/departments

· Quick learner and willing to ask questions to ensure all phases of job are done correctly

· Ability to communicate, receive and transfer written, oral, and electronic information effectively

· Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations

Additional Information

Wages will be determined based upon experience and training needed

Must have a clean Florida Driver’s License

Must agree to a drug screening prior to commencement of Employment
