General Manager – Houston
Our client, a leader in providing logistical services globally to the maritime and offshore industries is looking for a General Manager to join their team. In this role, you will oversee all day to day agency operations in the US, including operational and accounting personal. As part of the senior management team, you will ensure all departments have adequate staffing and resources while ensuring profitability targets are met. You will report directly to the MD, acting as the “Number 2” in the organization. We are looking for someone with the following:
- University degree, maritime college preferred
- Previous ship agency experience a MUST
- Time sailing at sea is ideal
- Excellent leadership/management skills, you must have experience leading a multi department organization
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Working knowledge of ship operations, specifically tankers and dry cargo
- Able to travel when needed, both domestic and international
- Currently authorized to work in the US, no visa or sponsorship at this time
