Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Marine Mechanical Engineer to support our growing project portfolio. This role involves the design and analysis of shipboard mechanical systems, technical reporting, and client interface. The ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with strong marine engineering experience and authorized to work in the United States.
Key Responsibilities

Design and analyze marine mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, propulsion, ballast, auxiliary).

Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.

Conduct shipboard and shoreside site inspections and assessments.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex maritime projects.

Ensure designs meet all applicable codes and regulatory standards (ABS, USCG, IMO, etc.).

Support retrofit, conversion, and newbuild engineering scopes.

Provide clear and professional communication to clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineer, Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (required).

Authorized to work in the United States (required).

Minimum 5 years of experience in marine or shipboard mechanical systems.

Proficient in AutoCAD and engineering analysis tools.

Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Ability to travel to shipyards, ports, and client locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Experience with defense, government, or commercial maritime projects.

Familiarity with classification societies and shipyard operations.
