Operations Coordinator- Marine Personnel: New York
Our client, a leader in providing cargo and logistic solutions is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join their team. In this role, you will work with the crewing manager to ensure the fleet is fully staffed with qualified mariners, both licensed and unlicensed.
The Role
- Work in team environment to ensure fleet is properly staffed
- Coordinate additional marine personnel requirements as needed such as shipyards periods, new build sea trials, etc.
- Develop and maintain marine personnel databases
- Assist Crewing Manager in proactively identifying marine personnel needs
- Maintain a good working relationship with maritime unions
- Collect and analyze marine personnel related metrics
- Complete additional tasks as directed by the Crewing Manager
- Supports the vessel operations department as needed
The Person
- Bachelors Degree, Maritime Academy preferred
- Previous Marine Personnel/Crewing experience, US Flag preferred
- Excellent communication/organizational skills
- Comfortable utilizing various crewing/software databases
- Must be currently authorized to work in the US, no visa or sponsorship at this time
