Sales Manager, Marine Terminal

The position can be based in one of several PNW locations

A leading terminal operator is seeking a motivated Sales Manager to join their team. In this role, you will drive sales effort in the marine terminal market. Experience with Break Bulk and Dry Bulk cargoes is preferred. This is a great opportunity for an operations professional looking to get into the commercial side of the business.

Responsibilities for the Sales Manager, Marine Terminal:

  • Execute a sales plan to increase market share and drive growth for the marine terminals
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities and manage a pipeline of potential customers.
  • Make sales calls on potential customers and secure new business
  • Prepare and deliver proposals and quotations, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Provide commercial support to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments, and provide input to product development and marketing initiatives.

Requirements for the Sales Manager, Marine Terminal:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of operations or sales experience involving break bulk terminals
  • Experience with Break Bulk and Dry Bulk cargoes is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Creative ability to think on your feet and successfully negotiate deals
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
