Job Summary:

We are seeking a Technical Advisor to provide expert guidance on fuel treatment solutions for our maritime clients. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of marine fuel chemistry, treatment methodologies, and compliance regulations. This role involves technical consultation, troubleshooting, training, and product support to help customers optimize fuel performance and reduce operational costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Consultation:

  • Provide expert advice on fuel treatment solutions, including fuel additives, purification, and filtration technologies.
  • Analyze fuel quality reports and recommend treatment strategies to optimize performance.
  • Troubleshoot fuel-related issues such as sludge formation, contamination, and combustion inefficiencies.
  • Assist clients in resolving fuel compatibility and stability concerns.

Product & Solution Development:

  • Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to improve fuel treatment products based on industry trends and customer feedback.
  • Conduct fuel testing and analysis to validate product effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with new fuel types, such as VLSFO, biofuels, and alternative marine fuels.

Training & Customer Engagement:

  • Deliver technical training sessions and workshops for clients, ship crews, and internal teams.
  • Prepare technical documentation, guidelines, and case studies for fuel treatment applications.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.

Regulatory Compliance & Industry Standards:

  • Advise customers on IMO, MARPOL, and other regulatory requirements affecting marine fuel treatment.
  • Ensure company solutions align with international fuel regulations and industry best practices.
  • Monitor changes in fuel standards and advise on necessary adaptations to treatment protocols.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Time sailing onboard deep sea vessels as Chief Engineer preferred.
  • 5+ years in the maritime fuel industry, including fuel treatment, marine engineering, or technical support.
  • Strong knowledge of marine fuel properties, refining processes, and treatment solutions.
  • Familiarity with fuel testing methodologies (e.g., ISO 8217, ASTM standards).
  • Understanding of environmental regulations related to marine fuel emissions and compliance.
  • Experience in conducting technical training and presentations.
