Our client is a leading U.S.-based manufacturer of high-performance rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) engineered for mission-critical applications. Their durable, watercraft serve first responders, law enforcement, fire and emergency rescue teams, and commercial users, delivering reliability in extreme conditions—from patrol operations, search & rescue, and swift water missions.

As Vice President of Sales, you will lead the sales strategy and team to drive revenue growth in the specialized marine equipment market. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will spearhead efforts to expand the footprint among government agencies, emergency services, and commercial fleets, leveraging their unique position as a trusted provider of rugged, high-performance RIBs. This high-impact role demands a strategic leader with proven expertise in B2G (business-to-government) and B2B sales, passionate about public safety and marine innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve annual revenue targets, focusing on key product lines including Patrol, Search & Rescue, and Swift Water Rescue series.
  • Build and manage a high-performing sales team, including direct reports in account management, business development, and channel partnerships, while fostering a culture of accountability and client-centric excellence.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with target clients in law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency response organizations, navigating RFPs, procurement processes, and demonstrations to secure high-value contracts.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with market needs, such as customizing boat configurations for specific missions and highlighting our quality and rapid deployment capabilities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor landscapes, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities, including international expansion and new verticals in commercial marine sectors.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, CRM systems and performance metrics to ensure pipeline health and consistent quota attainment.
  • Represent the client at industry trade shows, conferences, and client engagements to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in marine, defense, public safety, or industrial equipment sectors, with at least 5 years in a VP-level role driving multimillion-dollar revenue.
  • Demonstrated success in B2G sales cycles, including federal/state/local procurement and grant-funded opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the marine industry, particularly RIBs or emergency response equipment, with a track record of closing complex deals.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience building and motivating remote/distributed teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proficiency in sales analytics tools and CRM platforms; strategic thinker with a data-driven approach.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically (and occasionally internationally) for client meetings, demos, and events.
  • Passion for public service and innovation in life-saving technologies.
