Port Engineer
Our client, a leader in the tug and barge transportation industry, is looking for an experienced Port Engineer for their operation in the Port of NY/NJ.
In this role, you will be responsible for the day to day operational excellence of their fleet of tug boats as well as their fleet of barges. You will manage all marine assets as well as their employees. We are looking for someone with the following:
- University degree, maritime academy preferred
- USCG Marine Engineer license preferred
- 10 plus years in the maritime industry, including a minimum of 3 plus years shoreside in a Port Engineer role
- Solid knowledge of all USCG regulations
- Able to manage the day to day preventative maintenance of the fleet
- Oversee drydocks and/or major repairs as needed
- Must be authorized to work in the US, no visa or sponsorship opportunities at this time
