Crude Oil Tanker Broker

Location: Houston, TX

Flagship Management has been retained to identify an experienced Crude Oil Tanker Broker for an established international shipbroking firm in Houston.

This is an opportunity for a broker with strong market relationships and an existing book of business to help grow a young crude desk. The successful candidate will work alongside an established clean tanker desk in Houston and a crude tanker team in London, while taking an active role in developing crude business in the Americas.

The opportunity

• Build and manage relationships with charterers, owners, operators, and traders.

• Originate and execute crude tanker chartering business.

• Bring market intelligence, commercial judgment, and an established network to a growing desk.

• Collaborate with colleagues in Houston and London to develop opportunities across clients and trade lanes.

• Help shape the direction and long-term growth of the Houston crude desk.

The ideal candidate

• Has a proven record in crude oil tanker broking and spot chartering.

• Maintains an active network and can demonstrate the ability to generate business.

• Brings sound commercial judgment, strong negotiation skills, and credibility with clients.

• Enjoys the autonomy and responsibility that come with building a desk.

• Must be currently authorized to work in the US, no visa or sponsorship at this time
