Diesel, Mechanical or Automotive Mechanic/Technician

Our client is seeking motivated Diesel, Mechanical or Automotive Mechanics/Technicians with an interest in the sea to join their team. No previous marine experience is required. If you have an ordinary degree in Diesel Engineering or a Level 6 Mechanics Certificate, this is the perfect opportunity to embark on an exciting career in the maritime world.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain and repair marine diesel engines and related systems.

· Troubleshoot engine issues both on board and in the workshop.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations through inspections and testing.

· Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize engine performance.

· Keep accurate maintenance records and inventory.

· Provide technical support during vessel operations and sea trials.

· Stay updated with marine diesel engineering advancements.

Requirements:

· Degree in Diesel, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or Level 6 Craft Certificate or equivalent.

· Strong mechanical aptitude.

· Experience of the sea in either a recreational or professional capacity.

· Good English language skills

· Must be an EU citizen or have an indefinite visa to remain in Ireland.

· Physically fit

· Ability to work independently and in a team.

· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

· Flexibility for travel and extended periods at sea.
