Electrical / Electronic Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical testing and evaluation of equipment and systems
  • Operation of field equipment for standard production surveys
  • Prepare technical documentation, schematics, drawings, and specifications
  • Testl equipment in field conditions (approx. 20% travel in year one)
  • Contribute to the design and development of electrical systems, progressing toward instrument design responsibilities
  • Contribute to team manufacturing success

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering; specialization in electronics/integrated circuits or power systems preferred
  • Knowledge of US Navy, US Coast Guard or Merchant Marine
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize independently
  • Proficiency reading and implementing designs from technical drawings
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic systems and perform complex system tests
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of FPGA and Verilog is a plus
  • Internship experience in a design or QC team is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for sponsorship, now or in the future
