Nanny Cay Resort & Marina is one of the British Virgin Islands’ leading waterfront destinations. Located on Tortola, the integrated property combines a 300-berth marina, full-service boatyard, a 52-room hotel, waterfront restaurants and bars, a small beach and a freshwater pool. A major new phase of growth will add 112 marina slips and a new 150-ton travel lift, with completion targeted for 2027. The property serves marina customers, yacht crews, hotel guests, local residents and international visitors.
Position Overview
Nanny Cay Resort & Marina is seeking a hands-on Hospitality Manager to lead its hotel and food-and-beverage operations. The role includes managing and improving the 52-room hotel while directing the waterfront restaurant and bar.
The successful candidate will establish consistent service standards, strengthen commercial performance and build an accountable hospitality team across both businesses. The manager must also plan ahead as the marina adds 112 slips and expands its boatyard capacity, hotel, restaurant and bar operations must be ready to support higher guest volumes, yacht crews, owners, visitors and marina events without compromising the guest experience.
This opportunity suits a practical hospitality operator with meaningful hotel and food-and-beverage leadership experience who is comfortable being visible in the operation, working across departments and adapting systems, staffing and service capacity as the wider Nanny Cay business grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide balanced leadership across hotel and food-and-beverage operations, dividing management attention equally between the two areas.
- Oversee hotel operations including front office, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance coordination, room readiness, guest recovery and service standards.
- Improve hotel occupancy, average daily rate, direct bookings, guest satisfaction and operating efficiency through disciplined revenue and operating practices.
- Build an integrated hospitality plan that connects hotel, restaurant, bar and marina activity and supports increased demand as the marina and boatyard expand.
- Forecast the people, systems, inventory and service capacity required for the 2027 growth phase and implement improvements before demand materializes.
- Recruit, train, coach and retain a diverse hospitality workforce while developing accountable hotel, front-of-house and back-of-house leaders.
- Use operating and financial data to manage labor, room revenue, food and beverage costs, purchasing, inventory, waste and profitability.
- Manage island supply-chain realities and maintain compliance with lodging, food safety, sanitation, licensing, employment, health and workplace-safety requirements.
- Lead the waterfront restaurant and bar, including front- and back-of-house coordination, staffing, service flow, food quality, cleanliness and guest engagement.
- Partner with the Executive Chef on menu quality, kitchen efficiency, pricing, purchasing and concepts that appeal to hotel guests, marina customers, yacht crews, local residents and visitors.
- Able to work during high volume periods, specifically Tuesday-Saturday and as needed
- Strengthen restaurant revenue and profitability through capacity planning, table utilization, average check, events, promotions and consistent high-volume execution, including peak periods.
Experience and Qualifications
- Progressive hospitality leadership experience with direct responsibility for both hotel/lodging and restaurant or food-and-beverage operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a boutique hotel or resort, including occupancy, rate, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance coordination and guest service.
- Strong restaurant operating experience, including high-volume service, labor scheduling, purchasing, inventory, pricing, cost control and margin management.
- Proven ability to lead multiple departments, develop managers and create clear accountability across a diverse team. Commercial judgment and experience preparing hospitality operations for growth in guest counts, events, rooms demand or wider property expansion.
- Experience in a waterfront resort, marina hospitality complex, Caribbean or island setting, Florida Keys market or seasonal destination is advantageous.
- Visible, hands-on leadership style and the willingness to relocate to Tortola and become an active member of the Nanny Cay and BVI community.

Location and Relocation
This is a full-time, on-site leadership position based at Nanny Cay Resort & Marina in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Full relocation is required.
