Hull Software Application Engineer
Fully remote and based in Virginia, Mississippi, or Louisiana.
This position is the go-to expert for the company’s hull software system. It combines full-cycle, hands-on software demonstration, installation, and maximize utilizilation with customers. Handle complex technical questions, deliver practical training, and bring customer feedback back to the company’s software engineers.
Travel will consist approximately 25-40% both domestically and international travel – must possess a valid Passport to travel outside of the USA.
Job Description:

Providing technical support and training to help customers adopt and use the software effectively throughout their projects.

Advise customers on hull structure modeling and efficient ways of working with software system

Solve technical questions and troubleshooting complex issues.

Set up and run training sessions both remotely and at customer sites.

Participate in the sales process as our technical software expert giving software demonstrations.

Process customer feedback into clear and actionable input for product development.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A degree in Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Marine Engineering discipline is preferred.

3+ years experience in shipbuilding, structural design, engineering, and/or 3D CAD.

Strong understanding of the U.S. maritime industry. We especially value experience in military shipyard environments.

High customer orientation and proactive problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication skills with strong public speaking ability for training and demos.

Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

Basic programming knowledge (for instance C++) is considered a plus.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
