Lead Engineer
Lead Engineer – New Jersey
The Lead Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the engineering, sales, and operations teams, providing expertise in pumps and steam turbines for manufacturing, repair, and field service. This position is hands-on, combining design and analysis with operational and customer-facing responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities

Design and model pumps, components, and parts using ANSYS, CAD/CAM, and Autodesk Inventor.

Generate 3D models/drawings from scans and support efficient manufacturing and repair.

Provide technical support to sales and customers, including specifications, component selection, and cost estimating.

Lead and participate in pump/turbine inspections, repairs, installations, and commissioning (including field service crews).

Contribute to special projects, shop testing, and quality assurance efforts in line with ISO and safety standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills

B.S. in Engineering (or equivalent experience).

5+ years’ experience with centrifugal pumps, turbines, and rotating equipment.

Knowledge of marine, offshore, and industrial markets; hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Microsoft programs; strong GD&T skills.

Experience with machine tools, manufacturing operations, and interpreting technical drawings.

Strong communication skills; able to work effectively in shop, plant, and field environments.
