Marine Cargo Surveyor
This is an excellent career opportunity for a seagoing deck officer, with liquid cargo experience, to come ashore and join a busy Irish-based cargo surveying firm.
Our client is a successful Irish-based firm providing its services in the major ports of Europe. The company intends to meet the increasing demands for it’s services by recruiting additional cargo surveyors.
Candidates will work on a 15 days on-15 days off roster. During the ‘on’ period, will be based from the company’s apartment in Rotterdam. This position requires extensive travel during the ‘on’ period.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience/aptitude:
- The nature of the job requires a certain standard of physical condition.
- Full driver’s licence is essential.
- Some cargo surveying experience would be an advantage AND/OR seagoing experience as a deck officer on tankers.
- Ability to work well on your own but still a team player.
- Pro-active ‘can do’ mentality.
- Has an International Federation of Inspection Agencies certificate OR willing to obtain one.
- Excellent customer focused attitude.
- Good communication skills.
