Naval Architect – Seattle, WA

We are looking for a naval architect with strong engineering skills to contribute to a variety of marine projects. This role focuses on vessel design, structural analysis, stability calculations, and support for construction and refurbishment plans. The position involves collaborating on international and domestic marine transportation projects while adhering to company and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform vessel design, structural analysis, and stability calculations under senior engineers’ supervision.
• Support engineering and feasibility studies for new vessel designs and modification projects.
• Assist in developing detailed plans, specifications, and estimates for marine construction and refurbishment.
• Prepare design drawings using AutoCAD and perform engineering calculations for vessel projects.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams while ensuring compliance with U.S. Coast Guard and classification society standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in naval architecture (Master’s degree and EIT registration preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, GHS, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong engineering skills and knowledge of commercial vessels and marine design processes.
• Understanding of U.S. Coast Guard and marine classification society regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for client and internal team coordination.
