Whether you’re a seasoned mechanic or just starting out, if you hold an ordinary degree in Diesel Engineering or possess a Level 6 Mechanics Certificate, this is your gateway to an exhilarating career in the maritime realm.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair marine diesel engines and related systems.
• Troubleshoot engine issues both on board and in the workshop.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations through inspections and testing.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize engine performance.
• Keep meticulous records of maintenance and inventory.
• Provide technical support during vessel operations and sea trials.
• Stay abreast of marine diesel engineering advancements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Diesel, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering or Level 6 Craft Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Experience of the sea in either a recreational or professional capacity.
• Good English language skills.
• Must be an EU citizen or have an indefinite visa to remain in Ireland.
• Physically fit for maritime duties.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Flexibility for travel and extended periods at sea.
