12–36 Month Consulting Assignment in the Caribbean
Our client, a multi-use marine terminal operator, is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Leader to lead a long-term operational transformation initiative. This hands-on consulting engagement will focus on improving safety, productivity, operational efficiency, and financial performance while building a sustainable culture of continuous improvement.
Working directly with executive leadership and terminal operations, the consultant will assess current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and deliver measurable operational results across marine terminal activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate terminal operations, workflows, and business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Improve vessel productivity, cargo handling, equipment utilization, labor efficiency, safety performance, and operating costs.
- Develop KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting systems.
- Standardize operating procedures and implement best practices.
- Coach managers and supervisors while driving organizational change and employee engagement.
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects from assessment through implementation.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of operational leadership or consulting experience in marine terminals, ports, logistics
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale operational improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, process improvement, change management, and performance measurement.
- Marine terminal or port operations experience strongly preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification preferred.
