Barge Superintendent
Barge Superintendent – NH3 – Ammonia specialist
Oversees maintenance and repair of barge machinery, including steel replacement, routine repairs, and dry-docking. Requires travel and onboard presence to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise overhauls, repairs, and dry-docking of barges.
- Address maintenance issues reported by NH3 Tankerman Dispatch personnel/vendors.
- Be available 24/7 for emergencies and system failures.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 5+ years of marine industry experience.
- Prior experience with NH3 Ammonia barge maintenance and operations
- Knowledge of barges and cargo transfer procedures.
- Valid TWIC Card and Driver’s License.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
