- Create space plans and final stowage plans for each voyage within the fleet of vessels
- Create individual docking plans for cargos on board our client’s vessels
- Make conversions from manufacturers drawings to Autocad
- Maintain communication with Commercial team regarding upcoming projects
- Create and finalize cribbing and sea fastening plans for each cargo on vessels
- Maintain catalogues of engineering data
- Verification of loading/submerging condition of vessels.
- Stay up to date on possible limitations for ports/terminals
- Attend all port calls, both unloading and loading operations within Port Everglades which includes but is not limited to: creating the schedule for the port call, arranging all subcontracted services (divers, welders), liase with port agent for berth prospects, carry out full control of sequence of operations on board in combination with ships Master and crew.
- Attend port calls, both unloading and loading operations as needed and in combination with other Loading Masters which includes but is not limited to: creating the schedule for the port call, arranging all subcontracted services (divers, welders), liase with port agent for berth prospects, carry out full control of sequence of operations on board in combination with ships Master and crew.
- Survey cargos on board of vessel, after the sea fastenings are finalized and before the ship’s departure
- Maintain equipment inventory stored in Port Everglades
Requirements and desired qualifications:
- Successful completion of 2 years training at a technical, Naval, or Merchant Maritime school
- 2 years of experience in preparation of engineering drawings
- Autocad certification
- Strong PC/IT skills (ie., Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Experience with standards for marine operations and maritime transport, such as DNV-St-N001 or similair
- Seagoing experience a plus
- Ability to collaborate with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Good written and coral communication
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- *Self-motivated, *Team mentality, *Customer oriented, *Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and *provide leadership to others
- No mobility issues. Comfortable moving from yacht to yacht on board the vessels. No fear of heights. Able to lift heavy items as needed.
- Must have valid US Passport as International Travel is required.
- Must be US citizen
- Travel is required 50%
- Nights and weekends work is required and frequent when our vessels are in port
