Operations Manager: Florida

Position Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing company-wide operational performance, project execution, and client relationships of this established dredge operator. This role provides senior-level leadership across active projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction for high-level company operations and decision-making

  • Monitor active projects to ensure production milestones, schedules, and cost controls are achieved

  • Communicate directly with clients regarding ongoing work and the development of new projects

  • Review project specifications, develop cost estimates, and prepare competitive bids

  • Maintain daily communication with field supervisors and middle management teams

  • Identify work stoppages or operational challenges and develop effective corrective solutions

  • Support business development and client engagement initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Extensive experience in operations and project management

  • Construction management experience, preferably within marine or heavy civil environments

  • Direct dredging experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project

  • Ability to pass background and drug screening

  • Willingness to travel between project sites as needed

Preferred Experience

  • MSHA training

  • Hydraulic cutter suction dredging experience

  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and classifications

  • Experience operating tugboats and marine construction equipment
