Position Overview
The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety programs across active projects, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and client-specific safety requirements. This role works closely with field teams, management, and external inspectors to promote a strong safety culture and mitigate operational risk.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA, MSHA, and client-specific safety standards and regulations

Serve as the primary point of contact with OSHA, MSHA, and client safety inspectors

Schedule and coordinate safety training for employees

Maintain accurate records of safety certifications and training documentation

Ensure employees are provided with and properly utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Maintain and update safety records within ISNetworld
-
Collect, review, and submit required daily safety reports
-
Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections to identify potential hazards or violations
-
Direct and verify corrective actions for identified safety concerns
Qualifications & Requirements

Prior experience serving as a Safety Officer on sites governed by OSHA and preferably MSHA regulations

Extensive knowledge of applicable safety regulations and compliance standards

Experience with ISNetworld
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project
-
Marine construction experience
-
Ability to pass background and drug screening
Preferred Experience

Current MSHA training
-
Dredging experience

Strong computer and technical proficiency

Ability to operate a workboat
